Interview with Katharina Erdem for Lofficiel Colombia

Q: Psychology seems to be something you’re passionate about. Can you tell us more?

A: Psychology is another spectrum that brings me incredible joy. I’m deeply involved in it and spend my free time reading books on the subject. My recommendation for anyone interested is Psychologie des Foules by Gustave Le Bon.

“The woman you’re becoming will cost you people, relationships, spaces, and material things. Choose her over everything.”

Q: Ladyboss Couture has been quite a success. How did this journey begin for you?

A: Ladyboss Couture is a passion of mine. It’s my own brand, and I don’t put any pressure on myself. As a young girl, I always dreamed of creating my own brand, initially just for myself. Now, I’m working with my team to design clothes that I love. The fact that other people like them too is incredibly rewarding, but I do everything without stress. We have a homepage and some marketing on Instagram—it’s essential in today’s world. However, the greatest luxury I possess is my free time, and I want to keep it that way, staying spontaneous. There’s no store planned at the moment, but we do have international sellers in several countries, which covers the demand.

People tend to forget how quickly life passes by. I don’t, and I enjoy many precious moments with my favorite people around me.

Q: You have always been a strong advocate for women supporting each other. What message would you like to share with them?

A: My message to wonderful women is that we need to stick together. Together, we are stronger. I like to share my thoughts, and in return, I receive a lot of positive feedback from many women. I believe that with more mutual support, we can be unbeatable.

Q: How do you manage your personal and professional life, especially with your family?

A: This is one of the most common questions I’m asked. My husband and I share the same goals, educational principles, and the same outlook on life. This makes things a lot easier. Of course, we also have support from our housekeeper, and both sets of grandparents pitch in. It’s a full-time job, requiring a lot of planning and organization. But the most important thing we should give our children is love and time.

“A beautiful woman is a beautiful woman, but a beautiful woman with a brain is an absolutely lethal combination.”

Q: What is your philosophy on happiness?

A: Be happy and smile a lot. Happiness is made up of moments. I’ve been deeply engaged in internal medicine over the last few years, and I’ve realized that miracles happen when we release happy hormones in our body and brain. So, my wish for everyone is to find their happiness, enjoy it daily, and understand what they really want from life. Oh, and drink plenty of water, exercise, get fresh air, eat well, and sleep well.

“The best things in life are the people you love, the places you go, and the memories you make.”

Q: Do you have any favorite books that inspire you?

A: Definitely! Some of my favorites include Dostoyevsky’s Poor Folk and The Double, Tolstoy’s ResurrectionThe Cossacks, and War and PeaceThe Master and Margarita, and Emily Dickinson’s poetry. “Knowledge is power.”

Q: What are the next goals for Ladyboss Couture?

A: The next step for Ladyboss Couture is to expand our accessories line. There’s a huge demand for it. My charity, “Save the People Worldwide,” is also a project close to my heart. We’re working on integrating more people into our aid programs.

“Trust what you feel, not what you hear.”

Katharina’s journey is a testament to the power of balancing work, passion, and personal well-being. With Ladyboss Couture and her charity work, she continues to inspire women to be confident, supportive, and strong.
