Pierluigi, thank you for being with us. Pasquini Roma is a brand that is becoming increasingly recognised internationally. Can you tell us how it was born and what was the initial idea behind the creation of the brand?
Pierluigi Pasquini:
Thank you for the opportunity to talk about our work. Pasquini Roma was born from my long experience in the jewellery sector, an experience that began working in a jewellery store of my only older brother, which allowed me to deeply understand the art of jewellery creation and the importance of combining tradition and innovation. The brand is the result of years of study and passion for design and craftsmanship. The idea has always been to create unique jewellery, handmade in our workshops in Rome, that were an expression of timeless beauty and the typical quality of Italian craftsmanship. Each piece is the result of a constant search for perfection, where high jewellery meets art.

Let’s talk about design. Pasquini Roma stands out for the high quality of its jewellery. What makes your pieces so special and what are the characteristics that distinguish them?
Pierluigi Pasquini:
Each of our jewels is a unique creation, which comes from careful design and accurate craftsmanship. The element that distinguishes us is the ability to go beyond the traditional canons. The Pasquini Roma lines are designed by me and are characterised by innovative and modern shapes, which move away from the usual models and create a unique identity for the wearer. The beauty of each piece lies in its originality, which does not follow fashions but anticipates them. We also offer the possibility of making tailor-made or personalised jewellery, so as to best meet the requests of our customers and make them truly protagonists of the creation. Each piece tells a story, and it is precisely this customisation that makes each jewel even more special.

It’s interesting to hear how every piece of jewellery is designed to stand out. Speaking of materials, I know that Pasquini Roma only uses natural diamonds. What drives you to choose exclusively natural diamonds for your creations?
Pierluigi Pasquini:
The choice to use exclusively natural diamonds is a decision that for me goes beyond the simple quality of the material. At Pasquini Roma, we use only excellent raw materials, and the diamonds we select come only from controlled supply chains, certified by the Kimberley Process, to ensure that they come from ethical sources. A diamond is the maximum expression of the deep bond between man and the planet: it was formed in millions of years and contains a rarity that makes it unique and precious. Every diamond has a history that makes it special, and that’s what we want to offer our customers. I cannot, for ethical reasons, betray the trust of my customers by selling synthetic stones. The light of a diamond, the real one, is reflected in the eyes of the woman who carries it, and this is a beauty that goes beyond the surface.

It is clear that there is great care in the choice of materials. Speaking of production, all Pasquini Roma jewellery is handmade. Why is this artisan choice so important to you?
Pierluigi Pasquini:
The choice to make each piece of jewellery by hand is a reflection of our values and the Italian artisan tradition, which is recognised worldwide as synonymous with excellence. The art of manual work is the basis of our identity, and I believe that only through craftsmanship can we create truly unique pieces of the highest quality. Of course, there are highly respected jewellery industrial manufacturers, but we prefer to stay true to an exclusive model, like a tailor who creates tailor-made outfits. Each Pasquini Roma jewel is a small work of art, made with passion, dedication and a maniacal attention to detail, just as you would for a high fashion dress. This is what makes our work so special.

Unbelievable! Speaking of Rome, your hometown, is there anything in your city that inspires your work, both in the design and in the choice of materials?
Pierluigi Pasquini:
Rome is undoubtedly the most beautiful city in the world, and for me, it represents an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Its architecture, ranging from the remains of antiquity to modern masterpieces, is a unique mix of history, art, and beauty. In my lines, in particular, Contemporary Deco’ and Deco’ Heritage, I find that the influence of Roman architecture and its contemporary reinterpretation is evident. The Art Deco movement, with its elegant lines and bold geometries, has always fascinated me, and I have tried to take it to our world of high jewellery, revisiting it with a modern touch that enhances its refinement and uniqueness. Each piece of jewellery tells a story that comes to life from the combination of tradition and innovation, just like Rome itself.

How does personalisation play such an important role in your work? And how do you manage to satisfy the most demanding customer requests?
Pierluigi Pasquini:
Personalisation is essential for Pasquini Roma, because every customer is unique and every piece of jewellery we make must reflect their individuality. The ability to customise a piece of jewellery, whether it’s a detail, a special engraving, or a modification to the design, is what makes each piece even more meaningful. We work closely with our customers, listening to their needs and turning their visions into reality. It’s never just a matter of “adding precious stones” but of creating something that speaks directly to the person who wears it. Our experience and dedication allow us to fulfil even the most ambitious requests, with a level of detail that goes far beyond the expectations of our kind customers.

My biggest ambition for the future is to go from selling out all our pieces, as happened in 2024, to creating a waiting list. This would be a sign that the demand for our jewellery has exceeded the potential of our production, a very ambitious goal that reflects the passion and authenticity we put into every creation. At the same time, my greatest satisfaction would be to further grow Pasquini Roma and expand our sales network into new jewellery stores that represent us, particularly in the Arab markets, Asia, and America. We will try to make ourselves known in these areas, and I am very optimistic that we will be able to make new steps forward. We’ll see along the way, but we’re definitely working to expand our global presence.
