KRIVETS about Creativity, Winning in Cannes and Future music

KRIVETS is a presenter of the Ukrainian fashion channel FASHION TV. This year, she made her debut as a singer and has already presented two singles – “Smell of Mown Grass” and “Heart of a Giant”. In addition to her media activities, the singer has prophetic abilities and is fond of reading tarot cards.

KRIVETS, what does your soul sing about?

My music project is a complete reflection of me. It’s about female power, love, prosperity, our beautiful nation and the big hearts of Ukrainians. It’s about the fact that fear disappears when you move and you need to follow your dreams, no matter what anyone says.

Who is your muse?

My career is a path to myself, something that heals my soul. I’ve been on my way to my goal for a long time, and this thorny path has involved a lot of self-reflection and spiritual practices. I am inspired by life. I am inspired by the fact that music is like a tool for how I communicate with the world and what I want to convey in music to others. I am a very empathetic person and it is important for me that music and words are harmoniously combined.

Your music is very light and inspirational, could you tell us about your material?

“The Smell of Mowed Grass” is a motivating single about our country and the incredible love we have for it. “The Smell of Mowed Grass” is a musical reminder of Ukraine for those who are abroad to remember our beautiful country. I repeat it to myself like a mantra, because we are unbreakable and we will definitely wait for our victory! It’s like a wake-up call and hope. Our DNA is embedded in the track, and if you listen to the song often, you can bring the victory closer, I’m a bit of a witch (smiles).

“Heart of a Giant” is a song with powerful meanings and it concerns each of us. TUMANYAROM is a wonderful creator, my producer introduced us. By the way, this artist helped create the music for my first single. The joint track was his idea, and I was very pleased. It’s important that TUMANYAROM saw only me in this duo. I still remember him saying that only you can sing such a bright song (smiles).

You won your first music award in Cannes, could you tell us about this experience?

When I was informed about the nomination, I was very excited. For me, this award is even more recognition of me as an artist, and it gives me the opportunity to move forward at a strong pace. It’s an incredible experience to be on an international stage where you are being awarded for your music. There’s only more to come, I promise that the statuettes will only multiply.

What can we expect next from the KRIVETS project?

I already have a few demos, so you can definitely expect new music material, new collaborations, and maybe even a new music genre from me. Just like in life, I can be different, so I want my material to 100% reflect me and my states. Also, you haven’t seen the video for my new track “Heart of a Giant” yet, but it’s definitely coming soon. So, I’m announcing it!
