Interview with Alisa Roever
Q: Alisa, your journey from Siberia to New York City is inspiring. What motivated this leap, and how did you find your footing in a new country?
Alisa Roever: I consider myself a fortunate person. Moving from Siberia to New York City was a dream come true. Russia was a closed country back then, and leaving was almost impossible. But I felt an unshakable pull toward the Big Apple, and from the first moment I stepped onto New York’s streets, I knew I had found my home. The energy, the diversity, and the opportunities were like nothing I had ever experienced. While there weren’t many Russians in NYC at the time, making the modeling competition manageable, the people I met were incredible. Lifelong friends like Giuseppe Cipriani, Ivana Trump, and Jeffrey Steiner became my pillars, teaching me about true friendship, loyalty, and embracing life no matter what challenges come my way.
Q: You’ve mentioned that being on the cover of Lofficiel helped shape your perspective on beauty. What does beauty mean to you?
Alisa Roever: Beauty is not just external. It comes from within. True beauty radiates when you find happiness and inner peace. That energy becomes magnetic, drawing people into your life. I’ve been fortunate to live a privileged life, but I’ve also realized that this jet-setting lifestyle can sometimes distract you from your true self. Reflecting, being alone, and nurturing your inner world are essential. Beauty is about balance and authenticity.
Q: You’ve achieved so much professionally, but you also place great importance on personal relationships and family. Can you tell us more about that?
Alisa Roever: My greatest joy comes from spending time with my son and his friends. Their energy, ambition, and love are pure and inspiring. They want to make the world a better place and leave a meaningful legacy, giving me much hope for the future. I’m incredibly proud of the person my son is becoming. Watching him grow and thrive motivates me to continue setting an example.
That’s also why I started my nonprofit organization, Angels Helpers. I wanted to help underprivileged but talented youth achieve their dreams. Seeing their progress and success is one of the most fulfilling parts of my life. It’s not just about giving back; it’s about being part of something bigger than yourself.
Q: Your life seems to be built around constant growth and discipline. What does your daily routine look like now?
Alisa Roever: My routine is sacred to me—it’s how I nurture my mind, body, and spirit. I start each day with a 15-minute meditation to center myself, followed by five minutes of gratitude for everything good in my life. Then it’s time for fresh-squeezed juices and exercise—an hour-long run in Central Park and a session with a trainer at Equinox. Rain or snow, I never skip it. I enjoy working out in bad weather; it makes me feel unstoppable, like G.I. Jane!
I’ve also attended a retreat with Joe Dispenza in Mexico and immersed myself in motivational books and teachings. We are what we think, and our mindset attracts events and people. Self-love and a positive attitude are at the core of everything I do.
Q: Speaking of goals, what do you envision for yourself in the next 5-10 years?
Alisa Roever: I have big dreams! I want to write a book about my life to help others navigate their journeys.
I see myself giving motivational talks, launching a podcast, and creating social media content that inspires people to love themselves and set meaningful goals. My mission is to help people find their purpose and achieve true happiness. I believe everything is possible with the right mindset and determination.
Q: If you could advise your younger self, what would it be?
Alisa Roever: I would tell her to listen to her intuition and live in the present. Don’t worry so much about the future—embrace the journey. Failures are blessings in disguise; they teach us resilience and shape us into stronger individuals. Most importantly, I’d tell her to have faith in herself and to always stay true to her values.
Q: Lastly, what legacy do you hope to leave behind?
Alisa Roever: I want my legacy to be one of kindness, inspiration, and impact. Whether through my work with Angels Helpers, my future book, or my everyday interactions, I hope to motivate others to dream big, love deeply, and never stop growing. Life is about becoming the best version of yourself, not just for your own sake, but to uplift those around you.
