Her love for acting was solidified after watching Baz Luhrmann’s “Elvis”, featuring Austin Butler. His openness about overcoming shyness through acting classes resonated deeply with her. “I could totally relate to him,” she shares. “His story pushed me to take the leap and sign up for both modeling and acting classes.”
Mastering the Craft: Training and Growth
Tia’s commitment to ongoing training has played a crucial role in her journey. Through modeling and acting classes, she has refined her techniques, learned new strategies, and gained the confidence to stand out in a competitive industry.
“These classes have really elevated my skills in both modeling and acting,” she explains. “They continually push me to grow and improve.”
Strutting Across the Globe: Runway Success
Walking the runways of New York, Milan, and London Fashion Weeks, and soon Paris, has been one of the most defining moments of Tia’s career. Each fashion capital has offered her a unique perspective on style, culture, and the dynamic world of high fashion.
Her New York Fashion Week debut stands out as an unforgettable milestone. “Stepping onto the runway for the first time, with the music syncing perfectly with my strides, was exhilarating,” she recalls. “Seeing the photographers capturing the moment made me feel like a true supermodel!”
Her hard work paid off when she won the Plitzs NYFW KIDS Fashion Democracy show. “The runway was my biggest challenge at first,” she admits. “Winning that competition proved that dedication truly pays off.”
Adapting to the Industry: Preparation and Versatility
Tia’s approach to modeling is meticulous. Depending on the assignment, she adapts her preparation techniques:
- For runway shows, she practices facial expressions and perfects her walk to match the mood and energy of the collection.
- For commercial modeling, she researches the client’s aesthetic, ensuring her poses and expressions align with the brand’s vision.
Tia has worked with numerous designers, each contributing to her growth. “Every designer has helped me feel confident and express different aspects of my personality,” she shares.

Tia’s versatility extends beyond fashion—she is also a KIDS FIRST! Film Critic, a role that allows her to review films and interview industry professionals. “My favorite part is definitely the interviews,” she admits. “I’ve learned so much from speaking with actors and directors.”
Her ability to juggle multiple interests, including human biology, coding, and entrepreneurship, speaks to her disciplined mindset. She uses detailed schedules and to-do lists to stay on top of her commitments.
“Sometimes, I even find ways to merge my passions, bringing together fashion, acting, and my love for medicine and technology,” she explains.
Giving Back: Confident Smiles Initiative
Tia is also passionate about promoting oral health among youth through her initiative, Confident Smiles. Having faced dental challenges in her own childhood, she is dedicated to helping others develop healthy habits and prevent similar struggles.
“I want to help prevent other kids and teens from experiencing the same challenges I faced,” she emphasizes.
Navigating the Industry: Confidence and Challenges
Despite her growing success, Tia remains grounded. She understands that rejection is part of the process and focuses on maintaining self-confidence. “When I’m at a casting, I remind myself that if a job is meant for me, it won’t pass me by,” she says.
She has faced wardrobe malfunctions, safety concerns, and other industry challenges, but her mindset keeps her moving forward. “I remind myself that I’m only human. I make mistakes, but I learn from them.”
